Well, our Standing is the attributes and Spiritual Blessings God automatically gives to every Believer at the moment they are Born Again.  [If you are not absolutely sure you are “Born Again”, please review the 6 Truths in the tab “RU Born Again?”]  These attributes come directly from the righteousness of His Son and His life in us.

However, our State is our physical experience, our walk and our conduct – which can be quite different from our Standing.  Are they somehow connected and if so, how?

Our STANDING is our POSITION – our STATE is our EXPERIENCE.
Our STANDING is SEALED – our STATE is our DAILY WALK & CONDUCT.
Our STANDING is HEAVEN – our STATE is our ABIDING.
Our STANDING is UNCHANGEABLE – our STATE is ALWAYS CHANGING.

We will discover in the answer to an upcoming question that the connection between Standing and State is the HOLY SPIRIT.  It is His function, through Faith, to make the Blessings of our Standing in Christ experimentally real in our day-to-day life.
