Assumptions

puzzledASSUMPTIONS for reading understanding this Blog.

ALL are welcome to participate in this blog, but to actually understand what is said, we must make several assumptions.

#1 We must have a valid understanding of Truth.  If you think each individual is able to define what they believe/want truth to be, there will be a myriad of misunderstandings of things said.  You may not believe our understanding and we may not know yours.  We must be on the same page to understand each other.  Therefore – we assume Truth to be what God has revealed to us in His Word.  We may not like it or even want to believe it, but as a friend of ours has said, “When anyone wants to believe it, they will – and it will be Black and White.”  And of course, we do the things we want to :-).

#2 We must understand the difference between Religion and Relationship.  Religion is the multitude of man-made systems, aka “denominations” that have plagued true Christianity since the year 100AD.  Jesus desires to have a valid, vital relationship with His creations (us), but mankind has compromised that relationship with rules, traditions and rituals.  As each denomination or sect of humanity then proceeded to focus on their unique difference from each other, the primary goal Christ wanted with us was lost.  Mainstream Christianity’s focus is now on “DO” when Jesus really wants us to “BE” because He has “DONE.”  So when we mention “Born Again” or a “Christian” we are not talking about one who is not a Jew, not one who is a Church Member, not one who has been Baptized.  We are not talking about one who has “always been a Christian” because their parents were, one who just “thinks” they are, or one who has “Confessed” all their known sins.  We are talking about a person who has a vital, ongoing, active relationship with his Savior Jesus Christ and loves Him because of what He did for mankind when He Died on the Cross, was Buried, Arose and now Lives.  Furthermore, this person will have received the free gift of the Holy Spirit, just for believing these facts.

#3 You MUST have an interest in Changing your Life.If you are satisfied making the same mistakes over and over, this Blog is Not For You!  If you are tired of sinning and suffering the negative consequences resulting from it and would genuinely like to start over with a New Life, one that includes a vital, working relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, stay tuned.  This Blog’s GOAL is to direct you toward a New Life in Christ, enabling you to avoid the pitfalls and sins that have plagued you up to this time.  But are you interested or are you content to continue failing in your attempts to “do better?”  This is not about a New Year’s Resolution.  This will be a forever change in the way you see life and the decisions you make about that life.
