Q#1 What is a Victorious Life?

QuesC

Most of us might consider a Victorious Life would be walking in the “Spirit” more often that walking in the “Flesh.”  But what percentage do you think would be acceptable?  50%?  60%?  80%?

Concentrating hard on making wise decisions sometimes works for a short while, but can you imagine such a thing as walking in the Spirit continuously?  Can we even consider Constant Victory in a Believer’s life?  Is a Victorious Life even practical or is it just an interesting topic for discussion?  If a Victorious Life is possible, is it for His chosen few or can the weakest Believer experience it?

First of all let’s discover what it ISN’T.  It isn’t following a particular line of Bible teaching.  It isn’t understanding a system of rules and regulations nor following a code of ethics.  It isn’t applying a set of spiritual principles.  In fact, how can it be anything where we are involved with the doing?  We have all proven how undependable we are.  We are going to soon discover that, if there is a Victorious Life, it is not going to depend on our fleshly “self.”

Let’s explore God’s Word in regard to this “Life.”

John 14.6 Jesus said to him,“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

John 11.25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,

It appears God’s Word tells us that a Victorious Life is very simply, a Person.  It is literally Jesus Christ Himself.  Real life finds its starting point, its birth, in receiving Christ as Savior.

Now there are lots of people trying to live the Christian Life before they have received the Christian Life to live.  Without your choice of receiving God’s free gift of His Son’s completed work on Calvary to forgive your sins, you have absolutely no chance of living a Victorious Spiritual Life.  In fact, the rest of this blog will probably make no sense to you.  One cannot “fake” being a truly Born Again Christian.  Lots of people try that very thing, but God knows the intents of our Heart, and it is with the heart we make that decision to trust Christ’s finished work on the Cross.

Just so we are on the same page, you need to ask yourself right now, Have I ever chosen to trust Jesus Christ’s completed work on the Cross to forgive my sins and my sin problem?  Do I know that I have received this Free Gift of Grace, making me a Born Again, Child of God?  If you haven’t and want to know how you can have this position, please review the tab “RU Born Again?”
